Performs necessary repairs and preventive maintenance on SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and COB (Chip On Board) equipment.
Updates pick and place component and package parameters to ensure high yields and minimal line downtime.
Modifies AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and SPI (Solder Paste Inspection) programs to accommodate component and design changes.
Proposes changes to assembly work instructions.
Recommends changes to tooling, materials, equipment, and processes to improve throughput and quality.
Assists with testing, rework, or equipment operation as needed.
Requirements
Associates degree in manufacturing, mechanical, software, or electrical/electronics engineering technology or 2-3 years of relevant experience a manufacturing environment.
Experience with manufacturing processes
Realtime problem solving
Strong software and PC aptitude
Ability to quickly learn and comprehend advanced systems
Ability to predict how changes will impact manufacturing efficiencies and quality

Experience with PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) equipment maintenance and programming
