Responsibilities
Execute performance benchmarking, analyzing results, and providing recommendations to the engineering team regarding possible system bottlenecks; support design engineers in identifying, isolating and providing support to resolve possible issues
Make proposals and code changes to effect the performance improvements
Ensure regression tracking and reporting for ongoing feature/patch updates
Requirements
Domain Knowledge:
Experience with benchmarking in VMWare, Windows OS and Unix environments
Experience in running, analyzing and performance tuning network storage systems especially NFS systems.
Strong experience with OLTP, Database, Data Mining, VDI and other types of application workloads
Good understanding and use of available tools for benchmarking and troubleshooting performance issues
Good knowledge of RAID, clones, snapshots, replication, NFS, CIFS and File Systems designs
Experience with C programming as well as Shell languages such as Bash/Perl/Python
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in performance analysis of NAS and SAN products
