This Supplier Quality Engineer will be primarily supporting the Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) function in achieving the quality goals set by the Management and other tasks that may be assigned by the immediate superior.
Responsibilities
Support NPI in customized part qualification to build a robust quality assurance process at Supplier site; early involvement starting from Supplier’s DFM process
Review Supplier’s process and quality plan
Audit new customized Supplier process and quality assurance controls at Supplier site
Perform Quarterly Supplier Score Rating on quality category
Monthly review of key customized Suppliers DPPM performance and follow up to drive below PPM Threshold for each defined Supplier.
Drive to meet department targets set yearly on KPI for SQE based on PDCA approach
Drive ship-to-stock program for all parts (product safety part will be default to C=0, AQL 0.65% sampling inspection plan)
Initiate and drive quality and productivity improvement projects. Carry out assignment being assigned by supervisor in charge
Approve FAQ and IQC customized part inspection checklist
Issue / review and close Supplier’s Corrective ActionRreport (SCAR)
Follow up on Supplier audit at site to close SCAR where applicable.
Supplier quality support on MRB disposition related to material quality
Review and confirmed Incoming Inspection Checklist
Review and approved Electromechanical parts First Article Submission
Review and recommend electromechanical nonconformance parts disposition
Requirements
Degree in Electrical or Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering
Diploma in Electrical or Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering with at least 5 years of Supplier Quality Management experience will also be considered
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Supplier Quality Management activities
Independent and good technical problem solving skill working with cross-functional teams and key suppliers
Job-related skills:
Basic knowledge on Microsoft office, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, Quality Plan, QC Seven Tools, CAPA Methodology (ie. using 8D, 5-whys, Fish-bone,etc) and Statistical Techniques
Able to read and interpret Gerber, schematic diagrams, PCBA assembly drawings, technical drawing, component datasheet, inspection checklist, and sampling plan table
Ability to use basic QC measuring equipment such as CMM, VMM, Digital Caliper, Digital Micrometer, Digital Height Gauge, etc.
GD & T trained is preferred
Basic knowledge in electromechanical parts (ie. transformer, cable hardness, power supply, pump, actuator, relay, coil, detector, sensor, etc) manufacturing preferred
IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIT: acceptability and Requirements for cable and wire harness assemblies preferred
ISO13485 Lead Auditor trained; ISO9001 Lead Auditor trained will also be considered
Good interpersonal skill, communication skills, and presentation skills
Must be able to render overtime
Must be able to travel occasionally
Must have a positive attitude, enthusiasm in work and good initiative
