Job Description

Our client requires a dynamic Cloud Operations Software Engineer with both Application and Database Administration skills. The candidate should be capable of delivering a 24/7 available and reliable Application/Database environment and will be responsible for a variety of technical, operational, and consultative activities, including systems administration and release engineering tasks supporting all the Adobe products in cloud. It is critically important to the company that the applications and database systems offer the highest levels of reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and engineer solutions to automate technical operation tasks in a cloud environment
  • Work with Systems and Development teams on designs and performance optimization
  • Write documentation, including data standards, procedures, and data dictionary definitions

Requirements

  • 3+ years of working experience in Web Programming and/or Development. Must be comfortable developing with HTML, JQuery, CSS; at least one or more of the following: PHP, Python, Ruby or NodeJS and their related frameworks
  • Expert knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Engine, Azure, or Openstack
  • Thorough understanding of networking concepts and Internet protocols
  • Thorough understanding of security constraints when operating in a cloud environment
  • Experience in a Devops role supporting highly available production applications and flair for building/exploring tools
  • Experience working with tools like Chef or Puppet
  • Ability to adapt mid--stride to accommodate rapid evolutions of technology and change of priorities or requirements
  • Proven ability to quickly pick up new techniques, technologies, and concepts
  • Should have the aptitude to work independently on projects/tasks with minimal instructions
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear, concise and easy to understand manner is essential, as the candidate will participate in technical and customer reviews and must communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
