Job Description

The Machine Technician is responsible for performing a variety of daily routine and emergency maintenance to all Sierra Proto Express’ equipment/ types of machinery as directed by the Maintenance & Faculties Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections on assigned equipment according to the Preventive Maintenance Schedule (ISO Form 11-01-01-B).
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment/ types of machinery (Hitachi Drills, DES, Printar, Hyoki Scrubber, Photo Developer, etc.) to prevent breakdowns, costly repairs, and the development of unsafe conditions.
  • Promptly respond to and complete job requisitions according to request forms and submit to Maintenance & Facilities Manager.
  • Use proper tools and techniques to perform the required tasks in a professional and safe manner.
  • Research, order and prepare spare parts needed with the most cost-effective solution.
  • Report any potential problems to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.
  • Interact professionally and diplomatically with managers, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Be available for emergency maintenance.
  • May be required to operate a forklift. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. 

  • High school diploma, AA degree in related field preferred.
  • 4-6 years experience in preventative maintenance of equipment/ types of machinery for a PCB company.
  • Previous the experience with electrical/mechanical tools and test instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
  • equipment is written/verbal communication skills and ability to generate reports of diagnoses of machines and completed task.
  • Must have a professional demeanor and Printer customer service skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum and stand/walk throughout the day.
  • Ability to operate a forklift if needed. 
  • Must be highly motivated and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
