Job Description

The manufacturing engineer provides standard operating procedures of each job to the production floor. It is a critical engineering role in the manufacturing process. The qualified candidate will have a direct impact on the company’s manufacturing capability, efficiency, and productivity.

Responsibilities

To create SOP for all new jobs to production floor daily.
To provide instant engineering support to production floor.
To process ECRs (engineering change requests).
To work closely internally with Production, Quoting, Engineering and Sales to ensure each job is built correctly and efficiently.

Requirements

Experience in cable assembly and/or electro mechanical assembly industry in the manufacturing environment.
Experience in using connectors, terminals, wires, cables, shrink tubing and various other cable assembly products.
Experience in creating assembly SOP by using AutoCAD or other CAD software.
Experience in internet electronic components sourcing and be able to cross or find equivalent parts.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, manufacturer’s data sheets/spec sheets, fabrication diagrams and assembly.
Proficient with Excel, Word, and CAD software.
Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, including multi-tasking capabilities.
Must be detail oriented with the ability to meet or exceed deadlines.
Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
