Responsibilities
Define technology performance targets
Define device architectures
Perform TCAD simulations
Define and implement process flows/splits
Define design rules
Generate layouts for devices and test vehicles
Program parameter-cells
Conduct electrical tests and evaluate results
Conduct process and physical analysis
Generate device model parameters
Define process qualifications and conduct reliability tests
Initiate new product development
Manage foundry account and operation
Work closely with foundry to resolve process issues
Introduce new products into production
Define, review and revise production procedures, PCM and final product test specifications
Interact with operation, production engineering to address production issues like yield and quality
Analyze production data
Continue performance and quality improvement
Some international travels
Requirements
MS/PhD in science or engineering
A minimum of 5 years of experience in integration, device development, process development and module development
Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics
Strong knowledge and experience in semiconductor process integration and devices
Wafer level process flow experience from substrate to device, including testing, packaging, reliability, statistical process control, failure/physical analysis.
Silicon fab materials, process technology knowledge, wafer fab logistics and infrastructure
Hands on knowledge with TCAD tools from Synopsys or Silvaco
Familiar with CAD software such as Cadence and Calibre, or other similar tools
Familiar with Cadence Skill language a plus
Team player, self-motivated and capable of working without supervision
Able to work in fast-paced, constant demanding working environment
Keen engineering problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication, cross-functional and cross-cultural skills
Ability to interact effectively with operations staff, engineering peers in a results oriented environment
