Ensure optimized production quality and operability of many-mix configurations of x86 servers or fully-integrated rack solutions
Support production line and system test procedures
Perform failure analysis and initiate/implement rework methods covered under Engineer Change Order (ECO)
Troubleshooting, system repair, define optimized assembly and testing procedures
Process flow chart/documentation
Provide training and work with customer and QA team for corrective and preventive actions.
Must be able to plan and strategize for product manufacturing, equipment needs, production control.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues which may be hardware and/or software related at the server and fully-integrated rack level.
Requirements
Hands-on experience building, troubleshooting, and designing manufacturing processes for production of x86 server, storage and integrated-rack platforms, particularly whitebox platforms such as Supermicro, Quanta, Asus, etc and server/rack components (CPU, memory, networking, RAID, HDD/SSD/NVME, PDU, Rack, Cooling). Experience with Open Compute (OCP) platforms a plus.
Familiarity with Windows and Linux systems such as Red Hat and Ubuntu.
Experience with VMWare, Hadoop (Cloudera), OpenStack and other applications a plus
BS, MS, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years experience in a x86 contract manufacturer environment, or a combination of education and experience that would enable performance of the full scope of the position.
