Job Description

This HR/Safety Specialist will assist with the implementation of the HR and safety functions.  This position will also encompass Employee Relations, Recruiting, Benefit Administration, Unemployment, Accident Investigation, Worker's Compensation, Global Harmonized System Compliance, mandated/company specific safety training and reporting

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety programs and safety trainings
  • Conduct and coordinate mandatory safety trainings
  • Responsible for mandatory requirements from the City/State
  • Partner up with department managers to improve work environment and maintain preventative program for safety

Requirements

  • 2 – 3 years of hands-on experience in Safety and HR
  • Knowledgeable of HR laws and safety standards
  • Ability to interact with various levels of positions effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism and business acumen
