Work independently on transistor and block levels designs of analog low-power/high-efficiency power management devices
Experience in power device layout and understanding of power device operation and physics
Interface with marketing, layout, test, and application engineers to successfully bring new products from initial concept through release to production
Evaluate and troubleshoot complex integrated circuit problems in the laboratory
Applications support and datasheet creation
Must be able to work in team environment, participate in discussions of technical issues, and other design aspects with internal teams and with customers, will draft documents to communicate with internal teams or customer teams
Analytical approach to problem solving is highly required
Requirements
MS/PhD preferred, BSEE with 8+ years’, MSEE with 5+ years’, or PhD with 3+ years’ experience in IC Design
Must have design experience with several of the following: AC-DC, DC-DC switching regulators/modulators, switching regulator integrated Power FET and drivers, LED driver, LDOs, precision amplifiers, oscillators, bandgap references, high speed comparator
Design experiences in low-power offline AC-DC battery charger is a great plus
Design experience in CMOS/BICMOS and detailed understanding of layout tradeoffs are required
Experience working with small geometry BCD processes is a plus
Having working knowledge of Mixed-Signal Cadence and HSPICE simulation tools and parasitic parameter extraction is a plus
Experience with circuit board application designs and analysis a plus
Good communication skills required and independent and creative problem solver
